Ktesios SOCIMI appoints Carme Hortalá as new independent director

Carme Hortalá has more than 30 years of experience in the financial sector and is currently CEO of GVC Gaesco. With this appointment, the SOCIMI now has a majority of independent directors on its board of directors.

The board of directors of Ktesios, the leading SOCIMI in investment in affordable rental residential assets in non-prime areas, has appointed Carme Hortalá as a new independent director of the company.

Carme Hortalá is currently CEO of GVC Gaesco and a member of the economic committee of FC Barcelona. With more than 30 years of experience, she has held various leadership roles in the financial sector and capital markets. She has also been a member of numerous Boards of Directors including Bodegas Peñafiel SA, King & Client SA and Patrimonio Inmobiliario Empresarial S.A, Embutits La Selva SA, Plasmia SA and BMCE International Bank. Due to its strong roots in the Spanish financial sector, it has been a member of the Board of the Guarantee Fund (FOGAIN) since its incorporation in 2001. Socially, it is very involved in the defense of gender equality. 

Following this appointment, the number of independent members of the board of directors of Ktesios SOCIMI rises to three, which represents a weight of 60% in the highest governing body of the company. The remaining board members are Henry Gallego, CEO of Ktesios SOCIMI; Gonzalo Roca, head of debt advisory at Arcano Partners Investment Bank; Ignacio Fernández-Galván, minority shareholder of Ktesios; and Luis Martín, CEO of RKS Asset Management.
